ABSU DEPARTMENTAL CUT OFF MARK FOR 2021/2022 ADMISSION
Abia State University was established in 1981 by the Abia state government. It is one of the state-owned universities in Nigeria. It is made up of two campuses, the main campus is in Uturu, and the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine housed by the campus is in Umuahia, Abia State capital. It offers undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees.
The Management of the Abia State University (ABSU) has released the cut off mark for the 2021/2022 academic session.
What is ABSU cut off mark?
As stated by the management. The minimum cut off mark for all courses is 160.
Due to the high number of students that apply to ABSU every year, admission processes have now become highly competitive. So admission is not given based on your JAMB cut off marks only. Admission is now given based on JAMB score and O’level grades.
Does ABSU conduct Post UTME?
Yes, it does. As an aspirant, there are some conditions you must meet before you can be invited to take ASBU post UTME. Without taking and passing the Post UTME exams, you can’t get admission into ABSU.
The ABSU Post UTME requirements are:
- You must score exactly or above 160 cuts off mark
- You must choose Abia State University as you First or Second Choice of the institution during the UTME Registration
- You must have a minimum of (5) O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- You must be at least 16 years of age
Does ABSU collect the second choice?
Unlike other universities, The answer is yes! Despite the fact that ABSU is relatively difficult to gain admission into, the university accepts candidates that make them second choice in JAMB.
Is ABSU Post UTME Form for 2021/2022 out?
Yes, it is out. The Registration forms for the Aptitude Test are available online from Wednesday 18th September 2020.
