What is Minimum ABU Zaira cut off mark 2021/2022

The minimum cut off mark to gain admission into ABU Zaira is 180. But it is highly advised that you score from 200 and above, due to high competition in the university.

Due to the huge competition, the management of the institution make use of the JAMB score, O’Level result and Post UTME score as criteria in selecting aspirants.

What is ABU Zaria Cut off mark for Medicine?

ABU Zaira is one of the best universities to study medicine in the Northern Nigeria. To secure an admission into medicine in you must score 240 and above in your JAMB and 70% and above in your Post UTME.

ABU Departmental Cut Off Mark 2021/2022

The departmental cut off mark or point is just the lowest mark you must strive to meet if you actually want to be considered for admission this year.

Please note that different departments and faculties have separate cut off marks for various courses, so it’s important you carefully search through to find out.

  • 220 – 240 – Medicine (O’ Level result with one sitting only) and Nursing
  • 200 – Mass Communication, Common Law, Pharmacy, Anatomy, Physiology
  • 190 – Computer Science, English Language, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Geology, all engineering courses except Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering.
  • 180 – All other courses

Nature of ABU Zaira Post UTME Admission Screening 2021/2022

The admission screening is conducted in two phases.

You have to get ready for the first phase of the screening exercise which will be announced just the moment jamb exams is over, you need to score 180 before you will be considered eligible to participate in this exercise.

The second screening of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is usually conducted in the faculty and admission unit of the institution.
While going make sure you go with the following document:

  • Receipts of payments
  • Original Jamb slip
  • Local government certificate of identification.
  • O level results.

Criteria for Selection

  • Jamb score: As stated earlier, the minimum score you are expected to score in JAMB is 180. The main thing here is that strive to score very high, let’s say 200,230, 250 or even 280
  • Post UTME score:  This is one area you must bring your heart into. if you performed very well in jamb but failed in post UTME this will water down your chances of securing admission.
  • Catchment policy: Are you from Kaduna state or any state in the North Central zone? If yes, you have a higher chance of being selected. There is what they call catchment policy which tends to favour those from this  region.
  • O level results: This was introduced earlier  to reward candidates who performed excellently in their O level results.
