About the Polytechnic of Ibadan

The polytechnic of Ibadan was founded in 1970 in Ibadan, Nigeria. The institution was established to provide alternative learning to universities majorly on technical skill acquisition.  Unlike most tertiary institutions in Nigeria, this particular citadel of learning has its motto written in the Yoruba language which is translated to “Work is the medicine for poverty”.

The minimum JAMB cut off mark of Ibadan Poly is 150. This means that only aspirants that score 150 or more in JAMB can be invited to undertake the Post UTME exercise.
